Education

1995 Graduated from Tbilisi State University and obtained a degree in the International Law and International Relations with a specialty in International Law.

1995-1998 – Researcher  in International Human rights and Refugee Law at Tbilisi State University.

1995 Courses for Political and Diplomatic Studies (CPDS) at the University of Leeds, UK;

1998 he was enrolled in the Courses for Human Rights at Birmingham University, UK.

Career

1993 – Interned at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

1995 Third Secretary at the Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

1995-1997 – Third  Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Division for Africa, Australia and Pacific Rim States;

1997-1998 – Second Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, CIS Countries Department, Division for Multilateral relations;

1998-2001 – First Secretary, Embassy of Georgia to the State of Israel;

2001-2002 – Consul-Counsellor, Embassy of Georgia to the State of Israel;

2002-2003 Deputy Minister of Finance and Member of Anti-Corruption Council of Georgia;

2004-2005 – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. Parliamentary Secretary of MFA;

2005-2008 Ambassador Extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Georgia to the State of Israel;

2005-2008 – Ambassador Extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Cyprus;

2008  – Chairman of Foreign Relations Committee of The Parliament of Georgia;

2008-2009 Minister of Economic Development of Georgia;

2009   – Established his consultancy&Investment Management company “Global Uni Group”;

2010-2018 – Head and General Manager of the International Foundation for Science, Culture and Spirituality of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude ILIA II;

2018-2019 – Head of the Administration of the 5th President of Georgia

2019 - Ambassador Extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Georgia to the State of Israel

 

Along with native Georgian, speaks fluent English, Hebrew and Russian.

 

Father of three Children – Anna, Sulkhan-Irineos and Elene.
